The fact that I got to play on the 2022 JaSeSoi concert was a rather lucky coincidence. Apparently there's currently a scarcity of drummers in my former High School and two days after I quit the military I was approached on whether I'd like to play drums on a song in the coming concert. Having just returned home with not much to do, I eagerly agreed.

During the following weeks the concerts setlist underwent quite a few changes and as we approached the gig it was clear that there was still space left in the programme. I then offered to play some Nick Cave songs on my own, which I had learned for fun while rummaging through his discography earlier that year. The audience seemed to really enjoy them and the overall gig was definitely a success in my book.
