aneski This song has lived rent free inside my head for the better half of the year. Was really great to cover it. Favorite track: He's Simple, He's Dumb, He's the Pilot.

Adrift again 2000 Man You lost your maps, you lost the plans Did you hear them yell "Land, damn it land?" You say you can't Well I hope you can I hope you can How's it goin' 2000 Man? Welcome back to solid ground my friend I heard all your controls were jammed Well it's just nice to have you back again But I guess they still don't understand And they can never understand And they said go find 2000 Man And they said tell him we've got new plans But instead I'm here to tell you, friend I believe they want you to give in Are you givin' in 2000 Man? Are you givin' in 2000 Man? Are you givin' in 2000 Man? (Did you love this world And did this world not love you?) (Did you love this world And did this world not love you?) (Did you love this world And did this world not love you?) Are you givin' in 2000 Man? Don't give in 2000 Man

On the first part of the journey I was looking at all the life There were plants and birds and rocks and things There was sand and hills and rings The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz And the sky with no clouds The heat was hot, and the ground was dry But the air was full of sound I've been through the desert On a horse with no name It felt good to be out of the rain In the desert, you can remember your name 'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la After two days in the desert sun My skin began to turn red After three days in the desert fun I was looking at a river bed And the story it told of a river that flowed Made me sad to think it was dead You see I've been through the desert On a horse with no name It felt good to be out of the rain In the desert, you can remember your name 'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la After nine days, I let the horse run free 'Cause the desert had turned to sea There were plants and birds and rocks and things There was sand and hills and rings The ocean is a desert with it's life underground And a perfect disguise above Under the cities lies a heart made of ground But the humans will give no love You see I've been through the desert On a horse with no name It felt good to be out of the rain In the desert, you can remember your name 'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la, la La, la, la, la, la

Close your eyes, you'll be here soon Ichi ni san shi go fun Tokidoki, hontou ni netai Demo, kono waado dekinai Oyasumi oyasumi Close your eyes and you'll leave this dream Oyasumi oyasumi I know that it's hard to do Hands of time will wring my neck Every little moment spells regret But I don't have to feel this way As a voice inside my head Oyasumi oyasumi Close your eyes and you'll leave this dream Oyasumi oyasumi I know that it's hard to do

Wake from your sleep The drying of your tears Today we escape, we escape Pack and get dressed Before your father hears us Before all hell breaks loose Breathe, keep breathing Don't lose your nerve Breathe, keep breathing I can't do this alone Sing us a song A song to keep us warm There's such a chill Such a chill And you can laugh a spineless laugh We hope your rules and wisdom choke you Now we are one in everlasting peace We hope that you choke That you choke We hope that you choke That you choke We hope that you choke That you choke

Sunny 03:18
Sunny, yesterday my life was filled with rain Sunny, you smiled at me and really eased the pain The dark days are gone And the bright days are here My sunny one shines so sincere Sunny one so true, I love you Sunny, thank you for the sunshine bouquet Sunny, thank you for the love you brought my way You gave to me your all and all Now I feel ten feet tall Sunny one so true, I love you Sunny, thank you for the truth you let me see Sunny, thank you for the facts from A to Z My life was torn like a windblown sand And the rock was formed when you held my hand Sunny one so true, I love you Sunny, thank you for the smile upon your face Sunny, thank you for the gleam that shows its grace You're my spark of nature's fire You're my sweet complete desire Sunny one so true, I love you

about

I've wanted to make a cover album for quite some time now and as we approached the end of spring I had a dozen or so songs to cover in mind. After I had finished To the Same Heights I decided that the next release would be a cover album, and well four months later here we are.

Making multi-instrumental covers on song's which haven't been tabbed out by anyone turned out to be an impossible task for someone as tone deaf as me. I had to make some pretty drastic changes to the song list and eventually only three of the originally planned songs ended up making it to the final album (four if you count End Of The World, which ended up as an unfinished bonus track).

Either way, about two months later than I though this was going to take I present to you: The Existential Anxiety Machine. Most of these covers haven't been previously released, but even those that have been (A Horse With No Name, My Time, Sunny) have received some changes from the prior releases, hopefully for the better.

I'll also release a collection of alternative versions / scrapped songs and demos soon. It's going to feature a few of the song's which didn't make it as well as many of the songs found here in their unfinished state.
